Comfortable Chole Bay Beach Lodge
Mafia Island Lodge is set on a sandy beach amongst tall palms in Chole Bay, in the heart of Mafia Island Marine Park on the south coast of Mafia. The lodge has 14 superior rooms, 18 standard rooms and 2 family rooms - all with their own veranda overlooking the bay. Rooms are either twin or double with air conditioning, hot and cold water 24 hours a day.
The main lodge has a relaxing atmosphere with a large open restaurant serving a wide choice with an emphasis on seafood, a bar and lounge area. Board games, table tennis and volleyball are also available. Other facilities include a gift shop, laundry service, excursions, snorkelling, sailing and scuba diving.
The warm, colourful waters of the Indian Ocean provide an ideal location for many sea activities. Guests can enjoy some of the best diving and snorkelling there is off the East African coast exploring the many coral reefs that are teaming with tropical marine life. The lodge has a fully equipped dive centre for beginners and experienced divers, and offers PADI certifications.
