KIA Lodge
KIA Lodge is located only a three minute drive from Kilimanjaro International Airport. Situated on a secluded hill in the heart of beautiful savannah scenery typical of East Africa, between the towns of Moshi and Arusha. An ideal base for climbing Kilimanjaro or a safari into the Serengeti National Park and Ngorongoro crater. Guests can admire the vast views of the African plains and the grand Kilimanjaro Mountain.
The Lodge makes an ideal first or last stop in Tanzanian where you will find a welcoming service, Zanzibar style at the reception, Makonde woodcarvings in the rooms and the famous Tinga Tinga paintings in the tropical restaurant. The open bar gives you the opportunity to drink a cold Kilimanjaro Beer while looking at the Kilimanjaro.
KIA Lodge has 40 en-suite air conditioned rooms. Each cottage is built in traditional style using thatch roofs and local arts and crafts, such as Tinga tinga paintings and Makunde carvings.
The swimming pool is spectacularly located on top of a hill affording a breathtaking 360° panoramic view of mount Kilimanjaro amd mount Meru. Enjoy birding in the grounds and nearby with over 100 various bird species to spot.
