4x4 Small Group Safari Staying in Serena's Superior Lodges
In just a week our Serengeti Serena Safari will take you to the very best of northern Tanzania’s contrasting game-viewing areas and National Parks. Travelling as part of a small group on a seat-in-vehicle safari you'll join up with other people to share a vehicle with a knowledgeable driver/wildlife guide. Ideal for solo travellers and couples seeking a more cost-effective safari, you will see numerous highlights during this safari, from the volcanic peak of Mount Meru to the dramatic escarpments of the Great Rift Valley.
The focal-point of this safari though is the magnificent Serengeti National Park where you will spend two nights enjoying game drives and the opportunity to enjoy a once-in-a-lifetime balloon flight over the vast Serengeti plains. You will continue your safari into the game-filled Ngorongoro Crater before heading to Tarangire National Park, famous for its giant baobabs and elephant herds, for your final night.
During this Serengeti Serena Safari holiday you will stay in classic safari lodges including Lake Manyara Serena Lodge, Serengeti Serena Lodge, Ngorongoro Serena Lodge plus the Tarangire Sopa Lodge - all very well located for optimum game viewing in the National Parks. Travel time between the major game viewing areas is relatively short, with plenty of awe-inspiring scenery, colourful Maasai people and an abundance of wildlife seen en route.

Responsible Tour Operating in Tanzania
Specialist Tanzania works in close partnership with a locally owned and managed company in Tanzania. We feel this approach has a more direct benefit on the local distribution of income from tourism. We support and fully endorse the recruitment and training of local guides, local group tour managers, drivers and representation staff. Rather than avoiding certain National Parks to minimise National Park entrance fees, we prefer to include them as this revenue goes towards maintaining and improving wildlife conservation and management in Tanzania.
Specialist Tanzania is also determined to do what we can to help minimise any negative impacts on the environmental, wildlife and cultural welfare of Tanzania through promoting responsible visitor behaviour; promoting waste reduction; facilitating cultural exchange between guests and local communities; supporting local businesses, goods and services; encouraging guests to eat local foods rather than imported foods; encouraging the conservation of natural resources like electricity and water; and promoting the importance of protecting the local environment and nature.
